Joan Miró fully delved into textile art after meeting Josep Royo in 1970. Together, they explored a different artistic expression, and thanks to Royo’s technical mastery, Miró was able to express himself with the radicalism he desired.

The exhibition of this collection of tapestries, created by Josep Royo in 1989 and inspired by Joan Miró’s works, once again brings Miró closer to the town that inspired him so much.

The exhibition is complemented by the screening of Pere Portabella’s documentary “Miró Tapís,” filmed in 1973. The film was shot over six days at Mas Miró and Tarragona during the process of Josep Royo creating an original tapestry by Joan Miró.

he exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM and from 5 PM to 8 PM, and on Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

The exhibition will be available from June 28th to September 15th.

Inauguration: June 27 at 7:00 PM at the Església Vella Cultural Center.
