24 July at 9 PM

A unique opportunity to experience the vibrant style and textures of a sound that blends genres and transcends borders. Internationally renowned double bassist and compositor Vincent Tsung-Yu Hsu leads his Afro-Cuban Quartet in a captivating fusion of jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms, presenting a world premiere: the Danza Para Miró Suite, a composition by Hsu created in tribute to Joan Miró.

Initially inspired by Miró’s Music, a book by Joan Punyet Miró, the Danza Para Miró Suite brings together Vincent Hsu’s deeply emotional and soulful compositions, drawing on Miró’s works, Hsu’s visits to the Maeght Foundation in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, and the Miró Triangle: Barcelona, Mont-roig, Mallorca — forming an emotional landscape that represents the artist’s roots, creativity and refuge.
