On 15 July at 9 p.m., the Mallorcan singer and author Maria de Mar Bonet offers a recital with songs and titles that were dearest to Joan Miró.
Between each title, the singer will narrate her impressions of the painter’s work, the episodes she experienced with the artist, as well as the relevant and surprising importance that he had, without knowing it, in what would become the singer-songwriter’s long professional career.
The recital, specially prepared for the occasion, also contains some of the most emblematic songs from Maria de Mar Bonet’s extensive repertoire, as well as some of the poets she has set to music over the last five decades and who were most dear to Miró (Salvador Espriu, Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel and Josep Palau i Fabra). An unforgettable concert in a unique space that is so important for the universal artist.
